October’s come and gone! Now as we move into November (my birthday month!) lets take a look back at my October beauty favorites:
Starting with an oldie but goodie:
Even though I’ve had the original Naked Basics palette for nearly a year I find myself using it now more than ever! I will definitely hit pan on the taupe Naked 2 color first as it has become my everyday crease color. I’ve also played with using this shade to contour my nose and using venus as a highlight. I originally wasn’t a fan of the colors foxy and W.O.S but I’ve learn they make a great under eye setting powder when mixed together. Basically I find myself using this palette every day even if it’s not on my eyes!
I got the Nars Larger than Life black liner in a Sephora Favorites set and when I first applied it I was shocked I had not heard of this eyeliner before! I typical use creamy eyeliner pencils that are easy to glide on but a lot of times I find that they slide right off my waterline and down my face! The Nars pencil did not do this at all! In fact, this lasted from morning to night even through working out and rubbing tired eyes. The color is intense and does not fade at all. I will be purchasing a full size once I use up this sample!
October has been the month I have finally discovered a holy grail foundation. I bought the Naked Skin foundation on a whim after being perfectly color matched at Sephora and it fits all of my foundation needs! For me this product lives up to its claims; it leaves a flawless finish, has light but easily buildable coverage, and best of all I do not feel it siting on my skin. It did take me a few days to get used to this runnier foundation but I found that it looks the best when I somewhat rub it in with my fingertips and then finish applying it with my beauty blender.
Primer is one of those beauty products I rarely used, but I now use it daily after seeing such great results from the Benefit Porefessional. This primer is a creamy balm that leaves your skin feeling silky before you apply foundation. This is the first primer that actually helps my skin stay matte and doesn’t create a silicone film feeling over my skin. My foundation does not last nearly as long without a layer of this underneath! The combination of this with the Naked Skin foundation has made my skin look flawless all month long!
Milani’s baked blushes have always been a favorite of mine. The shade Rose D’ Oro has become an everyday sample this month because it’s the perfect seasonal transition shade between the summer corals and winter berry shades. It’s long-wearing and works beautifully as a blush/highlight combo which is great for my early morning makeup routine!
And that sums up all my favorites this month! I hope to get some new great finds through birthday gifts and black Friday sales in November! <3
